As a Certified Celebrant with the Celebrant USA Foundation, and as an Interfaith Minister registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, it is my great joy to unite couples on their wedding day.

Officiating weddings is part of my way of life combining artistic and spiritual expression, with particular focus on giving deeper meaning to the changes and growth life offers. Wedding ceremonies in particular can honor our willingness to trust another, to allow our life to unfold with less control and more spontaneity, and to open ourselves to vast possibilities, the end of which we can't even imagine. (And that's a good thing, or many of us would run the other way).

When I discovered this profession in 2003, I loved it. This was a way of giving to others more than the ordinary, more than they might expect, and more of themselves.

How does this knowledge translate into a wedding ceremony? Most of us have experienced weddings, solemn and simple, quick and efficient, long and boring, or if we're lucky, memorable and deep. Couples I meet with often ask for a short ceremony. What they're really saying is: don't drone on with advice and endless prayer that respects the hereafter but forgets the here and now. OK: you can have that!

I write wedding ceremonies and deliver them from the wishes of the couple, even if they aren't clear at the beginning about the details. Everyone has a unique love story and I write one for you based on what you tell me. Often there is humor in these stories and this is my signature feature for you at the beginning, before the vows, that brings everyone closer to you, understanding your unique love and your resilient human spirit!
